Marilyn Manson to begin shooting horror filmMarilyn Manson's long awaited horror film 'Phantasmagoria: The Visions Of Lewis Carroll' is finally set to begin shooting later this year.
The star who is to direct and appear in the flick has put the project on hold while he tours his current album 'Eat Me, Drink Me'.
As previously reported on NME.COM Hollywood megastar and friend Johnny Depp had initially been approached for the movie.
But the singer has unveiled no further details about the actor getting on board although he did confirm that some of the cast are still to be finalised and he is considering a number of male leads.
Manson is set to play the role of Carroll while supermodel Lily Cole, 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' star Tilda Swinton and Manson's girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood are also set to appear.
"It's still very much happening," he told Billboard.com. "We postponed the film until after this tour, so probably November, December.
"I read Lewis Carroll's diaries, and he's a very fractured soul. I think I identified with it more than just fascination; I was in the same mental state. So I think, by waiting, I'll be able to make a better movie, and I got to make this record." Cassette Bring 'Beautiful California' Across The US
With Beautiful California remaining on the CMJ Top 200 chart since it's early March debut, Miami's electro-pop outfit Cassette hit the road May 3 in Baltimore, Maryland. The debut album is comprised of 35 short tracks, which Devin Smith a.k.a. Cassette released on Atomisk Records, a label co-founded by Smith and college buddy Patrick Hart. In May, Smith will hit the road with his live band aiming to receive the same treatment as in his hometown, where they regularly sell-out shows.
